*FEEL GOOD FRIDAY*
Let us introduce you to the loveable Hungarian Vizsla, Gus the 5mo puppy whose owner brought him in to see our Emergency Department when his owners found he had difficulty breathing at home. He was found to have a rupture in his left lung lobe which was treated by our Specialist Surgery team with removal of a portion of his lung lobe.
Our ICU team took exceptional care of little Gus over 5 days with around the clock 24 hour medical care (plus extra cuddles as required from all vet nurses and vets in the hospital), until he was back to his playful puppy self and discharged back home into 5 star nursing care with his puppy parents. He has made a full recovery and we can't wait for Gus to return back to his cheeky puppy life!
His loving puppy parents have sent us these heart warming photos to show Gus recovering at home.
What a perfect way to start the weekend!

π₯³π₯³ We want to wish Bonnie a very happy 1st birthday! π₯³π₯³
She is truly one of our VIPPs (Very Important Puppy Patient), as she has already clocked up 5 surgeries with 2 of our surgical specialists, Dr Kirsten Deruddere and Dr Joycelyn Tran, to treat bilateral elbow deformity (radial head luxation) & a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament.
She has also been in the care of the Specialist Internal Medicine team with Dr Amanda Ciavarella for investigation and treatment of gastrointestinal disease during this time.
She is truly a special girl and even after all of these visits, still manages to give us a tail wag!
We would love to see your special pet's birthday photos in the comments ππππππ ... See MoreSee Less

Shoutout to Yukon's dad and mum for their creativity and devotion to his recovery after his Triple Pelvic Osteotomy to treat his hip dysplasia. This surgery was performed by our Specialist Surgeon Dr Joycelyn Tran to improve the stability of his hip joint and to slow down progression of osteoarthritis long term. This was diagnosed by the team at Greensborough Veterinary Hospital who look after Yukon for all of his health needs.
He was such a good boy in hospital with our nurses and vets, and at already 45kg and only 9 months of age, he is sure to be a big boy!
We can't wait to see him back for his rechecks, and hope that dad gets some freedom as well when Yukon's recovery is over!
